I posted a media player at my blog so people who missed the David CookFEST during the weekend can listen to the 3-parter special. Click on the image to get there. (Note: You need Firefox and the latest flash player installed for best results.)

I just heard that they will be having another CookFEST on Sunday, July 20, 5-7pm Manila time. In the meantime, if you have comments and feedback, you can email them at: campusfm995@yahoo.com. I will post the files for downloading later tonight. In the meantime, enjoy! I hope it doesn't break!
(If for any reason you can't get to my blog, I also posted the player at my favorite forum, royalmisfits.com.)

Found this lyrics site which provides a cool customizable widget. They also have a video and lyrics widget for some songs. I attached the youtube code here, adjusting the size to match that of the lyrics widget.
Here's one of my favorite songs from Jason Mraz's new album We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things. Read my review of the album at my other blog. (Incidentally, I have Jason's AT&T concert posted there, go check because it's fabulous.)
Note: I have no idea where LJ created a space between the video and the widget - I checked the code and there wasn't anything in it. The same method worked perfectly fine in my other blog. Huh.

Seriously. Bwah!
" The thing has 1GB internal memory, built in speaker and charges through USB. The USB port is very conveniently placed in the dog's butt and the headphone jack is located in the front. It might be worth the $18.67 shipped just as a conversational starter, after all how many times have you seen a table with a plastic dog and a USB plug up it's butt playing "I will survive"? "

Turns out the creature is not a dog, but an alien character from a HongKong movie, CJ7, from the creator of Kungfu Hussle and Shaolin Soccer.

Viggo's Un Beso de Esos, I heard, is an excellent, sensual love poem. It is from his newest book Skovbo, about which Richard Marcus had this to say:
"The photographs in Skovbo show us that no matter where we sit, there is still enough power remaining in the scattered woods of the world to stir our souls and fire our imaginations. Peering into one grey and misty vista of trees I can't help but look for shapes flitting back and forth, the ghosts of the wolves or wood bison that once roamed the woods of Europe, or the spirits of the people that used to live in them in North America. Viggo Mortensen's Skovbo brings the forest alive in a way that I've never seen photographs do before. You might never look at a tree in the same way again."

In the latter half of 2007, Jason Mraz went to several countries in Europe. Valerie Toumayan produced a series of fabulous take away shows. Here is one, with Jason walking the streets of Paris, freestyling with a Bulgarian busker. He messes up the pronunciation of "C'est une belle journee.", but boy does he make lovely music.
The rest of the take away show videos can be found here. I also posted a Mraz player at my blog, including songs which will be included in Jason's new album "We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things". Fantastic live stuff - clickie and listen to it here.

Who would have thought that the most ordinary things could seem so sinister? (And heavens help us, erotic.) That applies to the main actor too.

Go Team Philippines! Yay! The 2nd episode was right in the Philippines. You'll get to see some of Manila and Laguna, a province south of Manila. Check out the balut, folks! Would you eat one? Also, check out our dudes, especially Marc ;-) (I haven't watched a single episode yet though, I just heard about this from my co-worker.)
The rest of the videos are here (thanks to narumol555).

Me pides sampaguitas... No te envío,
gaya ng pagdurusa ng puso kong malayo sa iyo;
ayokong sa sandaling hawakan ng aking kamay,
iya'y malanta at mamatay....
